Registration of BR1M 2.0 At Prima Perai

Going through some documentation with Munis
We had planned this program a week earlier. The day before it was such a hectic day. Morning there were some personal work to be done. Than 1pm was our saree distribution. 4pm was the Deepvali event of Gerakan in Bukit Tambun where we had to bring along 15 people for them to receive their aid from Gerakan. Thanks to Datuk Ng Siew Lai who had made sure our branch got its quota to assist those in need. The Batu Kawan penyelaras who is also a Gerakan member opt to pass to another member of a different party  to look for the needy. Who cares if he tend to ignore us, as long it benefits those in need. Well as for this event At KTMB Apt Perai, Munis and I were there for registration of BR1M 2.0 With Rahmat of KRT Prima Perai. Co organize by Perai Seeds n Kelab Cinta 1 Msia. BR1M 2.0

Registration of BR1M 2.0 was held at my house in Taman Inderawasih. We knew that people will walk in for registration since we had done the same for BR1M 1.0. Many had turn up to register especially those who are single and earning below RM 3k who are eligable for RM 250. We started around 8.30am up to 1pm. The people was glad and happy taht they need not travel to Bandar Perda LHDN Office. Its good that we ease the Rakyat's burden. Thanks to Muniswaran, Sambath & Gopi who assisted to do the registration.

PM Najib Razak on THR Raaga

Few days before PM Najib Razak went on air with THR Raaga - the deejays created anxiousness on who will be coming on air. It was finally  answered, when PM Najib Razak joined Anantha & Uthaya for the Kalakkal Kalai show. PM spoke on the Tamil Words he had learned since upholding the spirit of 1 Malaysia. He also spoke on the commitment towards the Indian Community. PM also took part in the daily 'Boys or Girls' contest. PM had a good laugh for the wrong answer given by one of the contestant on Assam Laksa :-) . For those who have not come across the interview, click on the link below for the full recording at THR Raaga's page.

PM Najib Razak in Penang

PM Najib Razak had visited Penang yesterday. Few weeks back a meeting was held with Indian NGO's to discuss on the preparation ( Click Here ). I rather not comment on the meetings. We ( Munis, Murali, Mr Andy, Siva & Nathan ) had prepared our own questions cum request to PM. We had emailed the organizer and had tweet to PM about it. This is a golden opportunity and should have use it wisely. PM have been going down to the ground taking into account the need of the Rakyat.

I have a high respect for Datuk Non Panjang who were able to gather a strong 25k crowd and so did the Chinese community. As for us, some BN backstabbers in the last GE were trying to take lime light. Someone were more interested for lobbying a seat by bring in the people to request to PM. I will refrain from commenting all the mistakes and other issues relating to the Indian NGO meet with PM. My team and i believe we could have done better and make this meet a fruitful one.  Many had commented in FB and twitter on why only 2 questions were posted to PM. Anyway, this were our request :-

Graveyard
Indian community in Penang are lack of burial site. We would like to request PM for a land to be used for the mention purposed. Currently burial land are lack of space and forcing the space to be re-used.

Government & GLC Contracts
The Government should offer government and GLC contracts worth RM 150,000.00 to be given to Indian contractors. There are many capable contractors out there who can perform and commit to the projects given with efficiency and quality.

Business Grants
The Government should provide start up business grants for Indian Youths. Currently there are too many red tapes in applying for loan let it be government agencies or private sector. This has cause many capable, inspiring youth fail to become entrepreneurs.

University Intake
Increase of intake at Universities.

Job Opportunities
Increase of intake for jobs in Government sector.

Increase of job opportunities in GLC's.

We believe, by uplifting the living standard and economy of the Indian Community, will enable us to channel back our contribution through donations to Schools and Temples. The community need education, job and business opportunities to take all of us to greater heights.

Congratulations to Sdra Teng

Congrats to Saudara Teng Chang Yeow on the appointment as Barisan National Chairman by PM Najib Razak, taking over from Koh Tsu Koon. Teng was announced as Chairman today at the Jawi Golf Resort. Teng now has a huge task to lead the BN & Gerakan machinery for the 13th General Election which is schedule to be held any time soon.

Teng CY's appointment have been a good move where every party have given good feedback. Gerakan members it self are very pleased with the appointment. There have been a few fiction in Gerakan. In 2010 an EGM was call to outcast Teng Hock Nan but failed. Now every member in Gerakan will unite to face PR in the upcoming election. Definetly Teng's appointment have given BN & Gerakan a new fighting spirit.

Saudara Teng & Major Huan at my wedding.
I have high respect for Teng Chang Yeow when he attended my wedding in 2010 evan tough, i had criticize him through the media ( Click Here ) on the Huan Cheng Guan suspension. With Teng to lead Penang in GE 13, i believe the ratio for Barisan National have now increase a little higher.

Bersama PM - Our Request

Prime Minister Najib Razak is schedule to meet the Indian NGO's this Sunday, 22nd April 2012 ( Sunday ) at 1.30pm at Dewan Budaya USM, Penang. A good meet where NGO's are encouraged to pose questions to PM. A few of us had a discussion and have decided to put up our request to Prime Minister.

Penang Indian NGO's Meeting

Attended with Mr Muniandy, Mr Munis & Mr Murali.
PM Najib Razak will be visiting Penang this 22nd and a meeting related to it was called by the Kelab Penyokong Satu Maalysia Advisor, Datuk Ghazali at the Sri Malaysia Hotel in Bayan Lepas. The meeting which was schedule at 7.00pm only begun at 8.45pm. Good punctuality and discipline by the organizer and committee.

After a huge ir-relevant discussion was held, finally a conclusion was made that the visit to the USM Hall will be made coming Monday at 3pm followed by the meeting at Night.  The Indian NGO's will be given an opportunity to post questions to PM on that day. The committee should collect all the question earlier and segregate it. Questions related to schools and temples, should be given by written  / memo. This is because of time constrain. The 1 hour+ with PM should be used to post questions related to more government job opportunities, opportunities in GLC's, contracts worth RM150k below to be allocated to Indian contractors, business grans, additional business loans, more business opportunity for youths & etc. May the committee makes a good move and this meet with PM prior to GE13 will benefit the community.

Handing over memorandum to PM

PM Najib Razak had  made a two-day visit to Singapore counterpart Lee Hsien Loong , from 21–22 May 2009.  I had gone to the Subang Air Base with some friends to greet PM and to hand over the memorandum and the online petition in support of than Deputy Minister, YB Senator Datuk T. Murugiah. The memorandum was to urge PM to retain TM as Deputy Minister for the upcoming cabinet re shuffle. Eventually TM was retain as Deputy Minister a few weeks later.

PM who had arrive about 9pm greeted quickly those who had attend and was rushing. He was surrounded by his body guards and one had pushed me from approaching PM. As PM walk closer towards me, i told him that i need to surrender a memo and its a signature campaign collected online related to TM. PM stood for quite a while asking a few Q and went through the memo seriously. Later i was told, evan inside the VVIP waiting room, PM was still going through the memo / online signatures for a few minutes.
